Stephan's Quintet
is a small but interesting group of five (or six)
galaxies in the constellation Pegasus, in the same
field as the well known
NGC 7331.

Five galaxies are rather
distant (about 250 MLY):
a
small NGC 7320c
(to the left),
larger
NGC
7319,
overlapping NGC 7318a +
7318b
and
NGC 7317
(other small one to the right).
The last (and apparently largest "member" of the group, blue
spiral galaxy
NGC 7320 is far
in the foreground, only some 40 MLY from us.
